Infant Shoe Fitting Tips
- Infant feet grow very rapidly — measure every 6–8 weeks in the first year.
- Bare feet are best for babies learning to walk — shoes should only be worn outdoors.
- Ensure there is 1 cm of space at the front of the shoe to allow for natural movement.
- The shoe should be wide enough so you can just pinch a tiny bit of fabric at the widest point.
- Soft, flexible soles are important for infants — avoid stiff shoes until walking is well established.
- Always have both feet measured at a professional shoe fitter if possible.
Note: Shoe sizes can vary between brands and manufacturers. Always try shoes on where possible and consult the retailer's specific size guide.
